The News (Al-Naba')
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej) before The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ What are they questioning each other about? 1 They quarrel about the great news 2 About which they cannot agree. 3 Nay, they will come to know! 4 Then, no! They are going to know. 5 Have We not made the earth as a cradle 6 and the mountains [its] pegs? 7 and created you in pairs (as men and women), 8 And We made your sleep to be rest (to you), 9 and made the night [its] cloak 10 And made the day as a means of subsistence? 11 We have built above you seven mighty heavens, 12 And placed (therein) a Light of Splendour? 13 and sent down heavy rains from the clouds 14 so that We might bring forth thereby grain, and herbs, 15 and thick gardens grow? 16 Indeed, the Day of Judgement is an appointed time - 17 The day on which the trumpet shall be blown so you shall come forth in hosts, 18 The heavens will have openings like doors. 19 And the mountains are removed and will be [but] a mirage. 20 Truly, Hell is a place of ambush, 21 a goal for all who are wont to transgress the bounds of what is right! 22 They will abide therein for ages. 23 They will not taste therein [any] coolness or drink 24 Save a boiling fluid and a fluid, dark, murky, intensely cold, 25 as a fitting recompense for their deeds. 26 For verily, they used not to look for a reckoning. 27 having given the lie to Our messages one and all: 28 and everything We have numbered in a Book. 29 'Taste! We shall increase you not save in chastisement.' 30

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
