He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ He frowned and then turned away 1 from a blind man who had come up to him. 2 And what should teach thee? Perchance he would cleanse him, 3 Or that he may accept advice, so the advice may benefit him. 4 As for him who was indifferent, 5 Unto him thou payest regard. 6 And not upon you [is any blame] if he will not be purified. 7 As for the one who comes to you earnestly (striving for guidance). 8 and fears (Allah), 9 to him thou payest no heed. 10 Assuredly this is a reminder 11 For any one who desires to bear it in mind, 12 [It is recorded] in honored sheets, 13 lofty and pure, 14 Written by the hands of emissaries. 15 Honourable and obedient. 16 Cursed be man! how ungrateful is he! 17 Of what substance God created him? 18 Out of a drop of sperm! He creates and proportions him, 19 Then doth He make His path smooth for him; 20 Then He caused him to die and made him to be buried. 21 Then He will raise him up again when He please. 22 Nay, but (man) has not done what He commanded him. 23 Then let man look at his food, 24 We poured down rain abundantly, 25 and split the earth, splitting, 26 And cause the grain to grow therein 27 And grapes and clover, 28 and olive trees and date-palms, 29 and gardens dense with foliage, 30 And fruits and fodder,- 31 as provision for you and for your cattle to enjoy. 32 And when the Blast shall sound, 33 That Day shall a man flee from his own brother, 34 his mother, his father, 35 And from his wife and sons. 36 Every man of them shall on that day have an affair which will occupy him. 37 Some faces on that day will be radiant, 38 laughing, joyous; 39 And other faces that Day will be dust-stained, 40 with darkness overspread: 41 Those, they are the unbelievers, the immoral. 42
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: He Frowned ('Abasa). Sent down in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
