The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Certainly will the believers have succeeded: 1 Those who humbly cry in their prayers. 2 Who shun all frivolities, 3 And who pay the (obligatory) charity. 4 And who guard their private organs. 5 Except before their mates or those whom their right hands possess, for they surely are not blameable, 6 As for those who seek beyond that, they are transgressors" 7 And those who fulfil their trusts and keep their promises; 8 to their promise, 9 These are they who are the heirs, 10 Who will inherit Paradise, and live in it for ever. 11 We created man of an extraction of clay, 12 Then We placed him as (a drop of) sperm in a place of rest, firmly fixed; 13 Then We created of the drop, a clot (of congealed blood) and We created the clot into bitesize tissue, then We created the bitesize tissue into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it an other creation. Blessed is Allah, the Best of creators! 14 Then after that you will most surely die. 15 Then indeed you, on the Day of Resurrection, will be resurrected. 16 And We have made, above you, seven tracts; and We are never unmindful of (our) Creation. 17 And We sent down from the heaven water in measure, and We caused it to settle in the earth; and verily to take it away We are Able. 18 And by means of this [water] We bring forth for you gardens of date-palms and vines, wherein you have fruit abundant and whereof you eat, 19 Also, a tree which grows on the Tor of Sinai and gives oil and relish for its eaters. 20 There is a lesson for you concerning cattle. We provide you with drink from their bellies and many other benefits. You can consume them as meat. 21 and upon them and on the ships you are carried. 22
