The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
56 verses, revealed in Mecca after Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil) before The Key (Al-Faatehah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
O you who covers himself [with a garment], 1 Arise, and warn, 2 And your Lord (Allah) magnify! 3 And your garments purify! 4 stay away from sins 5 Do not give, thinking to gain greater 6 And persevere in the way of your Lord. 7 When the Trumpet is sounded, 8 So that is a tough day. 9 not of ease, for all who [now] deny the truth! 10 Leave him to Me whom I created alone, 11 And give him vast riches, 12 And sons to be by his side!- 13 whose life I have made run smoothly 14 and who still desires more. 15 Never. He is refractory of Our signs. 16 I shall inflict on him hardship, 17 Indeed he thought, and inwardly decided. 18 Perish he! How maliciously he devised! 19 Again, death seize him, how he determined! 20 He looked (at others); 21 And frowned and puckered his brow, 22 Then turned he back, and grew stiff-necked. 23 and said: 'This is no more than traced sorcery; 24 These are only words from a mere mortal". 25 Him shall I soon roast in Hell. 26 And what could make thee conceive what hell-fire is? 27 It leaveth naught; it spareth naught 28 It scorches people's skin 29 Over it are appointed nineteen. 30 We have appointed none but angels as the keepers of the Fire, and We have not made their number but as a trial for the unbelievers so that those who have been endowed with the Book will be convinced and the believers' faith will increase, and neither those who have been endowed with the Book nor the believers will fall into any doubt. As for those in whose hearts there is a sickness as well as the unbelievers, they will say: “What did Allah aim at by this strange parable?” Thus does Allah let whomsoever He pleases to go astray, and directs whomsoever He pleases to the Right Way. And none knows the hosts of your Lord but He. (And Hell has only been mentioned here) that people may take heed. 31

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
