Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Ha Mim: 1 A revelation from the most benevolent, ever-merciful, 2 a Book whose verses have been well-expounded; an Arabic Qur'an for those who have knowledge, 3 Giving good news and admonition: yet most of them turn away, and so they hear not. 4 And they say, "Our hearts are within coverings from that to which you invite us, and in our ears is deafness, and between us and you is a partition, so work; indeed, we are working." 5 Say (Prophet Muhammad): 'I am only a human like you, to whom it is revealed that your God is One God. Therefore be straight with Him and ask Him to forgive you. Woe to the idolaters, 6 Those who do not give zakah, and in the Hereafter they are disbelievers. 7 For those who believe and work deeds of righteousness is a reward that will never fail. 8
