The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
When the sun shall be darkened, 1 when the stars are thrown down, 2 And when the mountains are removed 3 when the pregnant camels are neglected, 4 And when the wild beasts are gathered 5 and when the seas are set on fire, 6 souls are reunited with their bodies, 7 And when the girl [who was] buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was slain, 9 and when the scrolls [of men's deeds] are unfolded, 10 and when heaven is laid bare, 11 And when Hell-fire shall be kindled to fierce ablaze. 12 And when Paradise shall be brought near, 13 (Then) every person will know what he has brought (of good and evil). 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 stars which are visible during the night 16 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 17 And the morning when it brightens, 18 Verily this is the word of a most honourable Messenger, 19 having power, with the Lord of the Throne secure, 20 (One) to be obeyed, and trustworthy; 21 Your companion is not one possessed: 22 he truly beheld him [the angel] on the clear horizon. 23 He is not avid of the Unseen. 24 And the Qur’an is not the recitation of Satan the outcast. 25 where then are you going? 26 Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 And ye shall not will unless it be that Allah, the Lord of the worlds, willeth. 29
