He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away. 1 when the blind man approached him, 2 And what should teach thee? Perchance he would cleanse him, 3 Or be admonished, and the admonition profit him? 4 As for him who was indifferent, 5 To him dost thou attend; 6 Though it is not your concern if he should not grow (in fulness). 7 And as for him who cometh unto thee running, 8 and fears (Allah), 9 you pay him no heed. 10 Assuredly this is a reminder 11 So let him who pleases mind it. 12 In honored books, 13 Exalted and purified, 14 In the hands of scribes (angels). 15 Honourable and Pious and Just. 16 Accursed is man. How ungrateful is he! 17 Of what [stuff] has He created him? 18 Of a sperm-drop He created him, and determined him, 19 and made the path of guidance easy for him to follow. 20 Then He causes him to die, then assigns to him a grave, 21 Then, when it is His Will, He will raise him up (again). 22 By no means he performed not that which He had commanded him. 23 Then let man look to his food, 24 For that We pour forth water in abundance, 25 Then We broke open the earth, splitting [it with sprouts], 26 And We cause therein the grain to grow, 27 And Grapes and nutritious plants, 28 And olives and date-palms, 29 the densely tree'd gardens, 30 fruits, and grass. 31 as provision for you and for your cattle to enjoy. 32 But when the Shout cometh 33 Man will fly from his brother, 34 mother, father, 35 his wife and his children. 36 For every man, that Day, will be a matter adequate for him. 37 Some faces will on that Day be bright with happiness, 38 Laughing, rejoicing. 39 And many a face will be covered with dust on that day. 40 o'erspread with darkness -- 41 These will be the faces of the sinful disbelievers. 42
Almighty Allah's Truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
