The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Ruin is for every open slanderer, backbiter. 1 Who pileth up wealth and layeth it by, 2 Does he think his wealth will abide for ever with him? 3 Nay! he shall most certainly be hurled into the crushing disaster, 4 Would that you understood what that crushing torment is like. 5 It is a fierce fire created by God 6 the Fire that shall rise to the hearts (of criminals). 7 Verily, it shall be closed in on them, 8 in endless columns! 9
