Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the morning brightness 1 and by the night when it covers the world with peace: 2 your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, 3 And indeed the latter is better for you than the former. 4 And indeed, in time will thy Sustainer grant thee [what thy heart desires,] and thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and then gave you shelter? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 As for the orphan, do not oppress him, 9 nor drive away the one who asks. 10 Therefor of the bounty of thy Lord be thy discourse. 11

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
