The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
I swear by the early hours of the day, 1 and by the calm of night, 2 Thy Guardian-Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present (life of this world). 4 And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you as an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find you perplexed, and show you the way? 7 Did He not find you in want, and make you free from want? 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 and do not chide the one who asks for help; 10 But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim! 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
