Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
HAS NEWS OF the Overpowering Event reached you? 1 Many faces will be contrite on that day, 2 labouring, toilworn, 3 They will [enter to] burn in an intensely hot Fire. 4 Given to drink of a spring fiercely boiling. 5 They will have no food except bitter thorn, 6 Which neither nourishes nor avails against hunger. 7 [And] some faces will on that Day shine with bliss, 8 With their endeavour well pleased. 9 In a high Garden. 10 They shall hear therein no vain discourse; 11 A gushing fountain shall be there 12 In which are high thrones. 13 And goblets set at hand 14 well-placed cushions, 15 And rich carpets spread. 16 Will they not then consider the camels, how they are created? 17 And at the Sky, how it is raised high?- 18 And at the Mountains, how they are fixed firm?- 19 And at the earth, how it is outspread? 20 So render good counsel, for you are simply required to counsel, 21 Thou art not at all a warder over them. 22 However, as for him who turns away, being bent on denying the truth, 23 So Allah will mete out to him the greatest punishment. 24 Verily unto Us is their return. 25 then upon Us shall rest their reckoning. 26

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
