Al-Takaathur
Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you 1 Until you visit the graveyards. 2 But you will soon come to know. 3 nay, again, you shall soon come to know. 4 Nay! If you knew with a sure knowledge (the end result of piling up, you would not have occupied yourselves in worldly things) 5 You will be shown hell 6 Then you will see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then, on that day, you will be questioned about the bounties (of God). 8
God the Almighty always says the truth.
