The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the heaven, and the night-visitor, 1 And what shall make thee know that which the night-comer is? 2 The piercing star! 3 There is no human being but has a protector over him (or her) (i.e. angels incharge of each human being guarding him, writing his good and bad deeds, etc.) 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 He is created of water pouring forth, 6 that issues from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Verily He is Able to restore him, 8 on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare, 9 (Man) will have no power, and no helper. 10 By the sky which returns [rain] 11 And by oath of the earth which flourishes with it. 12 Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement, 13 And no trifle. 14 Verily they are plotting a plot. 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 Therefore grant a delay to the Unbelievers: Give respite to them gently (for awhile). 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
