The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness the sky (bespangled) with the signs of the Zodiac, 1 and [then bethink thyself of] the promised Day, 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 Cursed were the companions of the trench 4 the fire with its fuel, 5 When they sat by it, 6 fully conscious of what they are doing to the believers, 7 They had nothing against them, except that they believed in Allah, the All-Mighty, Worthy of all Praise! 8 Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is of all things the Witness. 9 Verily, as for those who persecute believing men and believing women, and thereafter do not repent, hell's suffering awaits them: yea, suffering through fire awaits them! 10 As for those who believed and acted righteously, theirs shall be Gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great triumph. 11 The grip of your Lord is indeed severe, 12 Surely He it is Who originates and reproduces, 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Lord of the Arsh, the Glorious, 15 Effecter of what He intends. 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Nay! The disbelievers (persisted) in denying (Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and his Message of Islamic Monotheism). 19 While Allah encompasses them from behind. 20 Indeed, this is a Glorious Koran, 21 (Inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved! 22
