The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ The Merciful One 1 Hath made known the Qur'an. 2 He has created man: 3 and He has taught him the Explanation. 4 The sun and moon revolve to a computation; 5 and the stars and the trees all prostrate themselves, 6 He raised the heavens and set up everything in balance, 7 In order that ye may not transgress (due) balance. 8 And observe the weight with equity and do not make the balance deficient. 9 And the earth He laid [out] for the creatures. 10 Therein is fruit and palm trees having sheaths [of dates] 11 And grain covered with husk, and fragrant flowers. 12 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 13 He created man of clay like the potter's, 14 and He created the jinn from smokeless fire. 15 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 16 Lord of the East and Lord of the West. 17 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 18 He unleashed the two seas so that they merge together, 19 between them a barrier they do not overpass. 20 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 21 Out of them both come out pearl and coral. 22 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 23 His are the lofty ships, that rear aloft on the sea like mountains. 24 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 25
