So when the apostles came to Lut's followers, 61 He said: Surely you are an unknown people. 62 They said: Nay, we have come to you with that about which they disputed. 63 We bring you the truth, and indeed we are truthful. 64 “Therefore journey with your household while a portion of the night remains, and you tread behind them – and none of you may turn around and see, and proceed directly to the place you are commanded to.” 65 And We decreed for him that commandment, that the last remnant of those should be cut off in the morning. 66 And the people of the city came rejoicing. (* To the house of Prophet Lut.) 67 [Lout (Lot)] said: "Verily! these are my guests, so shame me not. 68 Fear Allah and do not disgrace me' 69 They said, "Did we not forbid you to extend hospitality to strangers?" 70 He said, 'These are my daughters, if you would be doing.' 71 By thy life, they wandered blindly in their dazzlement, 72 So As-Saihah (torment - awful cry, etc.) overtook them at the time of sunrise; 73 We turned the town upside down and rained upon them stones of clay. 74 Surely, in that there are signs for those who contemplate. 75 This (city) lies on a road that still survives. 76 Surely, in that there is a sign for those who believe. 77 And indeed the Dwellers of the Woods were unjust. 78 So We took vengeance on them. And verily both are on a high-road open. 79
