The companions of the thicket denied the messengers 176 When Shuaib said to all of them, “Do you not fear?” 177 I am a trustworthy messenger to you: 178 "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. 179 And I do not ask you any reward for it, my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds; 180 ۞ Give full measure, and cause no loss to others. 181 And weigh (things) with a right balance, 182 And do not deprive people of their due and do not commit abuse on earth, spreading corruption. 183 “And fear Him Who created you and the earlier creations.” 184 They said: "Surely you are deluded. 185 "Thou art no more than a mortal like us, and indeed we think thou art a liar! 186 So cause a fragment of the sky to fall on us, if you are truthful." 187 He said: My Lord is Best Aware of what ye do. 188 But they denied him, and We seized them with the torment of the Day of Shadowing (when the cloud had rained down fire). It was indeed the torment of a terrible day! 189 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 190 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 191
