Al-Waaqe'ah 2 of 3
a large group of the earlier people 39 and also a large throng from those of later times. 40 As for the people on the left hand, how miserable they will be! 41 [They will find themselves] in the midst of scorching winds, and burning despair, 42 And a shade of black smoke, 43 Which is neither cool nor is for respect. 44 For that they were wont to be indulged, before that, in wealth (and luxury), 45 And they used to persist in the great violation, 46 and constantly said: 'What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we then be restored to life? 47 And also our forefathers? 48 Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Lo! those of old and those of later time 49 Are to be gathered together for the appointment of a known Day." 50 Then you erring ones, you that cried lies, 51 Will be eating from trees of zaqqum 52 and fill your bellies with it, 53 Then drink over it of boiling water; 54 Drinkers even as the drinking of thirsty camels. 55 This shall be their entertainment on the Day of Judgement. 56 It is We who have created you. Why then did you not testify to the Truth? 57 Then tell Me (about) the human semen that you emit. 58 Is it you who creates it, or are We the Creator? 59 We have incorporated death in your constitution, and We shall not be hindered 60 that We may exchange the likes of you, and make you to grow again in a fashion you know not. 61 You have certainly known the first creation. Why, then, do you not take heed? 62 See ye the seed that ye sow in the ground? 63 Is it you who cultivate it, or is it We Who develop it? 64 If We willed, surely We would make it chaff, so that ye would be left wondering. 65 "Verily, we are ruined! 66 nay; we have been undone!” 67 Have you considered the water you drink? 68 Is it you who cause it to come down from the clouds - or are We the cause of its coming down? 69 If We will, We would make it bitter, why then do you not give thanks? 70 Behold! the fire which ye strike out: 71 Did you produce the tree that serves as fuel or do We? 72 We have made it a reminder and provision for the travelers, 73 Extol, then, the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's mighty name! 74

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
