And Nuh did certainly call upon Us, and most excellent answerer of prayer are We. 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great distress, 76 and We made his seed the survivors, 77 and We left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 78 Peace be upon Nooh, among the entire people. 79 As such We recompense the gooddoers, 80 he was one of Our believing worshipers. 81 [and so We saved him and those who followed him] and then We caused the others to drown. 82 ۞ And indeed, among his kind was Abraham, 83 Recall what time he came unto his Lord with a heart whole. 84 and when he said to his father and to his nation: 'What do you worship? 85 “What! You desire, through fabrication, Gods other than Allah?” 86 “So what do you assume regarding the Lord Of The Creation?” (That He will not punish you?) 87 Then he looked at the stars, looking up once, 88 And he said, "I am indeed sick (at heart)!" 89 All the people turned away from him 90 He then sneaked upon their deities and said, “Do you not eat?” 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak? 92 Then did he turn upon them, striking (them) with the right hand. 93 Thereupon the people came running to him. 94 He said, “What! You worship what you yourselves have sculpted?” 95 Whereas Allah hath created you and that which ye make? 96 They said, “Construct a building (furnace) for him, and then cast him in the blazing fire!” 97 They desired to outwit him; so We made them the lower ones. 98 And he said: Lo! I am going unto my Lord Who will guide me. 99 Abraham prayed, "Lord, grant me a righteous son". 100 We gave him the good news that he would have a patient, forbearing son. 101 and when he was old enough to go about and work with him, (one day) Abraham said to him: “My son, I see in my dream that I am slaughtering you. So consider (and tell me) what you think.” He said: “Do as you are bidden. You will find me, if Allah so wills, among the steadfast.” 102 And when they had both submitted, and his son had laid down prostrate upon his forehead, 103 We called out to him: "O Abraham, 104 You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 105 It was certainly an open trial. 106 So, We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 and left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 108 'Peace be upon Abraham' 109 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 110 for he was truly one of our believing servants. 111 We gave him the glad news of the birth of Isaac, one of the righteous Prophets. 112 And We sent blessings upon him and Ishaq; and among their descendants – some who do good deeds, and some who clearly wrong themselves. 113
