We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 And We kept their praise among the latter generations. 119 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 They were two of Our believing servants. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators, 125 who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 128 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 131 he was among Our believing servants. 132 And indeed Lut is one of the Noble Messengers. 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind. 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 And at night; do you not then understand? 138
