Those who do not believe, say: "When we and our fathers have turned to dust, how shall we be raised again? 67 Assuredly we have been promised this aforetime, we and our fathers. Naught is this but fables of the ancients. 68 Say: "Travel in the land and see how (bad) was the end of sinners." 69 (Muhammad), do not be grieved (about their disbelief) nor distressed about their evil plans against you. 70 They ask, "When will this promise be fulfilled, if what you say be true?" 71 Say, "Perhaps some of the things which you wish to experience immediately are very close to you." 72 Indeed your Lord is Most Munificent upon mankind, but most men do not give thanks. 73 And verily thy Lord knoweth all that their hearts do hide. As well as all that they reveal. 74 And all the hidden secrets of the heavens and the earth are (written) in a clear Book. (The Preserved Tablet) 75 Indeed this Qur’an narrates to the Descendants of Israel most of the matters in which they differ. 76 and, verily, it is a guidance and a grace unto all who believe [in it]. 77 And verily thine Lord shall decide between them with His judgment, and He is the Mighty, the Knowing. 78 So rely upon Allah; indeed, you are upon the clear truth. 79 [But,] verily, thou canst not make the dead hear: and [so, too,] thou canst not make the deaf [of heart] hear this call when they turn their backs [on thee] and go away, 80 Nor can you lead the blind when they have gone astray. You can make none hear except those who believe in Our signs and have come to peace and submission. 81 ۞ And when the word befalls them, We will bring forth for them a creature from the earth speaking to them, [saying] that the people were, of Our verses, not certain [in faith]. 82
