The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ TRULY, to a happy state shall attain the believers: 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 And who do not incline towards indecent matters. 3 who give charity, 4 And those who of their private parts are guards. 5 except with their wives and what their right hand possess, and then they are not blamed. 6 but those who seek to go beyond that are transgressors -- 7 And those who of their trusts and covenant are keepers. 8 and who observe their prayers. 9 Those are the heirs 10 that will inherit the paradise; [and] therein shall they abide. 11 We created the human from an essence of clay: 12 which was then turned into a living germ and placed in safe depository. 13 Then We made the seed a clot, then We made the clot a lump of flesh, then We made (in) the lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, then We caused it to grow into another creation, so blessed be Allah, the best of the creators. 14 And then you will certainly die, 15 Then you will be raised up again on the Resurrection Day. 16 And We have made, above you, seven tracts; and We are never unmindful of (our) Creation. 17 And We have sent down rain from the sky in a measured amount and settled it in the earth. And indeed, We are Able to take it away. 18 Then We cause to grow thereby gardens of palm trees and grapes for you; you have in them many fruits and from them do you eat; 19 also a tree growing on Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat it. 20 And indeed there is also a lesson for you in cattle. We provide you with drink out of what they have in their bellies; and you have many other benefits in them: you eat of them, 21 You are carried by the animals on land and by the ships in the sea. 22
