Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 for an appointed time? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
