The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 The very brightly shining star! 3 There is no living being but there is a protector over it. 4 So let man see from what he is created! 5 Created from a gushing fluid. 6 Proceeding from between the back-bone and the ribs, 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 The Day that (all) things secret will be tested, 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 By the sky with its returning rain, 11 and by the earth bursting with vegetation; 12 this (Qur'an) is surely a decisive Word, 13 And no trifle. 14 They are planning a scheme, 15 And I (too) will make a scheme. 16 Give respite to the disbelievers and leave them alone for a while. 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.
