The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
When the sun Kuwwirat (wound round and lost its light and is overthrown). 1 And when the stars fall, dispersing, 2 the mountains are scattered about as dust, 3 The ten-month pregnant female camels are abandoned, 4 And when wild animals are herded together. 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 when the souls are coupled (to their body), 7 And when the girl buried alive shall be asked: 8 For what crime she was killed; 9 when the scrolls shall be unrolled, 10 And when the sky is stripped away 11 when Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when the garden is brought nigh, 13 (Then) every soul will know what it hath made ready. 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 stars which are visible during the night 16 and the night as it darkly falls, 17 The rising dawn, 18 Most surely it is the Word of an honored messenger, 19 The mighty, the honoured in the presence of the Lord of the Throne. 20 obeyed, and honest. 21 (O people of Makkah), your companion is not mad; 22 he truly saw him on the clear horizon; 23 nor does he grudge (conveying this knowledge about) the Unseen; 24 Nor is this the utterance of a devil worthy to be stoned. 25 Where then are you going? 26 That is but an advice to the entire creation! 27 For the one among you who wishes to become upright. 28 but your wishing will not avail unless Allah, the Lord of the Universe, so wishes. 29
