The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
When the sun shall be folded up, 1 And when the stars darken, 2 and when the mountains are moved, 3 When the she-camels, ten months with young, are left untended; 4 And when the wild beasts are gathered 5 And when the seas are filled with flame 6 And when the souls are paired 7 And when the girl-child that was buried alive is asked 8 for what offence was she killed? 9 And when the Writs shall be lain open, 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped, 11 and Hell is stoked, 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 Every soul shall (then) know what it has prepared. 14 But nay! I swear by the stars, 15 stars which are visible during the night 16 And by the night when it departeth, 17 And by the dawn as it brightens; 18 That this is in truth the word of an honoured messenger, 19 Endued with Power, with rank before the Lord of the Throne, 20 obeyed, moreover trusty. 21 And your companion is not insane. 22 he truly saw him on the clear horizon; 23 Nor of the unseen is he a tenacious concealer. 24 This is not the utterance of an accursed devil. 25 So where are you going? 26 This is naught else than a reminder unto creation, 27 to every one of you who wishes to tread the straight path. 28 But ye shall not will except as Allah wills,- the Cherisher of the Worlds. 29
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
