Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven becomes cleft asunder, 1 the stars are dispersed, 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 and set you in whatever form He pleased? 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 noble scribes, 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 Indeed, the righteous shall (live) in bliss. 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 They will never be able to escape from it. Would that you knew what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19
