The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 Who createth, then disposeth; 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 The One Who produced pasture. 4 Then turneth it to russet stubble. 5 By degrees shall We teach thee to declare (the Message), so thou shalt not forget, 6 except whatever God wills; He knows both what is manifest and what is hidden -- 7 And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder profits, 9 He who fears [God] will heed the reminder, 10 but the wretched will turn away from it. 11 who will enter the Great Fire, 12 Then he neither dies in it, nor lives. 13 Indeed whosoever purifies himself (by avoiding polytheism and accepting Islamic Monotheism) shall achieve success, 14 remember the name of the Lord, and pray to Him. 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Most surely this is in the earlier scriptures, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
