The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 The One Who created, and then made proper. 2 who has ordained and guided, 3 And who brings out the pasture 4 then caused it to wither away. 5 By degrees shall We teach thee to declare (the Message), so thou shalt not forget, 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 Wherefore admonish thou; admonition hath surely profited, 9 He who fears (Allah) shall heed it, 10 But the wretched one will avoid it - 11 Who will enter the great Fire and made to taste its burning, 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 And who mentioned the name of his Lord, then offered prayer. 15 But ye prefer the life of this world, 16 whereas the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Surely, this is in the ancient Scrolls, 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
