Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 And We helped them, so they overcame (their troubles); 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 And We left for the twain among the posterity: 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 121 Surely they were both of Our believing servants. 122 Verily Elias is one of the apostles. 123 when he said to his people, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 Except an old woman (who was) amongst those who tarried. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 Verily, you pass by them in the morning. 137 And at night; do you not then understand? 138
