The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The All-merciful 1 has taught the Koran. 2 has created man, 3 and has taught him intelligible speech. 4 The sun and the moon are scheduled. 5 And the grasses and the trees bow (to Him) in adoration. 6 He raised the heaven on high and set the scale. 7 That ye should not trespass in respect of the balance. 8 but weigh things equitably and skimp not in the balance. 9 And He has set up the earth for all beings. 10 Therein is fruit and palm trees having sheaths [of dates] 11 and grain growing tall on its stalks, and sweet-smelling plants. 12 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? 13 He created man from sounding clay like unto pottery, 14 and He created the jinn from smokeless fire. 15 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 16 Lord of the Two Easts, Lord of the Two Wests, 17 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 18 He has let loosed the two seas (the salt water and the sweet) meeting together. 19 [yet] between them is a barrier which they may not transgress. 20 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 21 Pearls and coral-stone come forth from them. 22 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 23 To Him only belong the sailing ships, raised above the sea like hills. 24 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 25

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
