▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
And for him who dreadeth the standing before his Lord will be two Gardens. 46 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 47 These Gardens will abound in green, blooming branches. 48 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 49 In which, will be two fountains running. 50 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 51 In which will be of every fruit two kinds. 52 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 53 Reclining upon thrones that are lined with brocade, with the fruit of both Gardens close enough to be picked from under. 54 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 55 In these [gardens] will be mates of modest gaze, whom neither man nor invisible being will have touched ere then. 56 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 57 As (lovely as) rubies and as (beautiful as) coral. 58 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 59 Is there any reward for good other than good? 60 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 61 And besides these two, there are two other Gardens (i.e. in Paradise). 62 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 63 Dark green [in color]. 64 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 65 Wherein are two abundant springs. 66 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 67 In which will be the fruit, date-palms and pomegranates. 68 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 69 In these [gardens] will be [all] things most excellent and beautiful. 70 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? -- 71 Companions restrained (as to their glances), in (goodly) pavilions;- 72 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 73 Whom neither a man or jinn had ever touched before them. 74 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 75 They shall be reclining on green cushions and splendid carpets. 76 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 77 Blessed is the Name of your Lord, the Lord of Glory and Grace. 78
