(People), is your creation harder for God than that of the heavens, which He created, raised and established 27 High has He reared its vault and formed it in accordance with what it was meant to be; 28 and darkened its night and brought forth its morning. 29 And the earth, He expanded it after that. 30 He draweth out therefrom its moisture and its pasture; 31 And the mountains hath He firmly fixed;- 32 All this was done as a means of enjoyment for you and your cattle. 33 But when there comes the greatest Overwhelming Calamity - 34 On that day man will recall all what he strove for. 35 and Hell will be brought in sight for anyone to see: 36 For, unto him who shall have transgressed the bounds of what is right, 37 and prefers the life of this world, 38 Lo! hell will be his home. 39 But unto him who shall have stood in fear of his Sustainer's Presence, and held back his inner self from base desires, 40 Verily the Garden! that shall be his resort. 41 They ask you, [O Muhammad], about the Hour: when is its arrival? 42 [But] how couldst thou tell anything about it, 43 [seeing that] with thy Sustainer alone rests the beginning and the end [of all knowledge] thereof? 44 You are only a warner for those who fear such a day. 45 The Day they see it, (it will be) as if they had not tarried (in this world) except an afternoon or a morning. 46
