۞ Gather together those who were unjust and their associates, and what they used to worship 22 besides God, and lead them to the path of the Fire; 23 "But stop them, for they must be asked: 24 "'What is the matter with you that ye help not each other?'" 25 No indeed; but today they resign themselves in submission 26 They will turn upon one another, and question one another. 27 They will say: "It was ye who used to come to us from the right hand (of power and authority)!" 28 They will answer, “You yourselves did not have faith!” 29 We had no authority over you, but you were an insolent nation. 30 So on us hath been justified the sentence of our Lord: verily we are to taste. 31 "So we led you astray because we were ourselves astray." 32 So all of them on that day are sharers in the chastisement. 33 That is how We deal with sinners. 34 for when it was said to them, 'There is no god but God,' they were ever waxing proud, 35 And they said: are we going to abandon our gods on account of a poet distracted? 36 Nay! he (Muhammad SAW) has come with the truth (i.e. Allah's Religion - Islamic Monotheism and this Quran) and he confirms the Messengers (before him who brought Allah's religion - Islamic Monotheism). 37 (They will be told): “You shall taste the grievous chastisement. 38 Ye are requited naught save what ye did - 39 But the bondmen of Allah, the sincere ones 40 For them there is a known provision, 41 fruits. And they are receivers of generosity 42 in the Gardens of Bliss. 43 On couches, facing one another. 44 A bowl shall be made to go round them from water running out of springs, 45 white, a delight to the drinkers, 46 Neither does it intoxicate, nor give a headache. 47 They will have with them loving wives with big black and white eyes 48 As if they were [delicate] eggs, well-protected. 49 Then some of them will turn to others, and will ask each other. 50 One of them will say: “I had a companion in the world 51 who would say, "Are you a confirmer? 52 [that] after we have died and become mere dust and bones we shall, forsooth, be brought to judgment?"' 53 He will say: -- Do you wish to know where he is now?' 54 Then he will look and see him in the midst of the Fire. 55 He will say, "By God! You almost brought me to ruin! 56 But for Allah's favour, I should be one of those who have been mustered here. 57 (Another will say:)"Is it true, we are not going to die 58 except for our first death, and are we not chastised? 59 Indeed, this is the mighty victory, 60 It is for the like of this that all should strive. 61 Is this a better hospitality or the tree of AzZakkum! 62 Verily We! We have made it a temptation for the wrong-doers. 63 Indeed, it is a tree issuing from the bottom of the Hellfire, 64 its spathes are as the heads of Satans, 65 And indeed, they will eat from it and fill with it their bellies. 66 On top of it they shall have a brew of boiling water, 67 Then thereafter, verily, their return is to the flaming fire of Hell. 68 Indeed they found their fathers astray. 69 So they hastened [to follow] in their footsteps. 70 And assuredly there went stray before them many of the ancients. 71 We had certainly sent warners to them. 72 Look, then how was the end of those who had been warned, 73 EXCEPT for God's true servants, [most people are apt to go astray.] 74
