Hizb 46

Jonah too was one of the messengers. 139 When he ran to the laden ship, 140 And then drew lots and was of those rejected; 141 Then the big Fish did swallow him, and he had done acts worthy of blame. 142 And were he not one of those who praise. 143 He would have indeed remained inside its belly (the fish) till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a bare desert whilst he was sick. 145 and We caused a gourd tree to grow over him. 146 And We sent him (on a mission) to a hundred thousand (men) or more. 147 and [this time] they believed [in him] and so We allowed them to enjoy their life during the time allotted to them? 148 AND NOW ask them to enlighten thee: Has thy Sustainer daughters, whereas they would have [only] sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females, while they were witnesses? 150 Lo! it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 "God has begotten children." They are truly liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 Do you not understand? 155 Or is there for you a plain authority? 156 Bring your Book, if you speak truly! 157 They link Him with jinns by lineage, yet the jinns know they will be brought before Him. 158 God is far above what they attribute to Him, 159 Except the slaves of Allah, whom He choses (for His Mercy i.e. true believers of Islamic Monotheism who do not attribute false things unto Allah). 160 But as for you, and that you serve, 161 you shall not tempt any against Him 162 except for he who shall roast in Hell. 163 [The angels say], "There is not among us any except that he has a known position. 164 We are surely those who are arranged in ranks. 165 And verily we! we hallow. 166 They used to say: 167 "Had we received guidance from the people living before us, 168 We would be single-minded slaves of Allah. 169 But (now that the Quran has come) they disbelieve therein (i.e. in the Quran and in Prophet Muhammad SAW, and all that which he brought, the Divine Revelation), so they will come to know! 170 Already has Our Word been passed before (this) to our Servants sent (by Us), 171 That they verily would be made triumphant. 172 And verily Our host! they are to be overcome. 173 So turn away from them for a while. 174 And see [what will befall] them, for they are going to see. 175 Do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 Then, when it descends into their courtyard (i.e. near to them), evil will be the morning for those who had been warned! 177 So turn thou from them for a while, 178 And see, for they are going to see. 179 Exaltations be to your Lord, the Lord of Might, above that they describe! 180 Peace be upon the Messengers 181 and praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being. 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
