In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 and place it in a secure place 21 For a known extent. 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 For the living and the dead. 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
