The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By oath of the late morning, 1 And [by] the night when it covers with darkness, 2 Thy Sustainer has not forsaken thee, nor does He scorn thee: 3 Indeed what is to come will be better for you than what has gone by. 4 And verily, your Lord will give you (all i.e. good) so that you shall be well-pleased. 5 Has He not found thee an orphan, and given thee shelter? 6 Did He not find you wandering about and give you guidance? 7 And did He not find you in need and make you rich? 8 Therefore do not treat the orphan with harshness, 9 And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him]. 10 But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it]. 11
