The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By heaven and the night-star! 1 And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is?- 2 The very brightly shining star! 3 There is no living being but there is a protector over it. 4 So let man look - from what is he created. 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 issuing from between the backbone and the breastbone: 7 God has certainly power to bring him back (from the dead). 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 (Man) will have no power, and no helper. 10 By the sky with its returning rain, 11 And by oath of the earth which flourishes with it. 12 Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement, 13 and is no idle tale. 14 They are cunningly devising, 15 but I too plan against them. 16 Let, then, the deniers of the truth have their will: let them have their will for a little while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
