The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
When the sun shall be darkened, 1 And when the stars darken, 2 And when the mountains shall be made to pass away, 3 And when milch camels roam abandoned. 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together, 5 when the seas are set boiling, 6 And when the souls he paired, 7 when the buried infant shall be asked 8 for what offence was she killed? 9 And when the books are spread, 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped off and taken away from its place; 11 When the Blazing Fire is kindled to fierce heat; 12 And when the Garden is brought near;- 13 (Then) shall each soul know what it has put forward. 14 I swear by the receding stars, 15 Moving swiftly and hiding themselves, 16 by the night swarming, 17 by the dawn sighing, 18 Verily this is the word of a noble message-bearer; 19 Owner of strength, of established dignity with the Lord of the Throne. 20 One (to be) obeyed, and faithful in trust. 21 And your companion is not [at all] mad. 22 He had surely seen Him on the clear horizon. 23 and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 Where then will you go? 26 This is naught but an admonition unto the worlds 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 And ye shall not will unless it be that Allah, the Lord of the worlds, willeth. 29
