The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven with its impregnable castles; 1 and by the promised Day, 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 Of the fire (kept burning) with fuel, 5 When they sat by it, 6 fully conscious of what they are doing to the believers, 7 And they persecuted them for naught save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praiseworthy 8 Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness of all things. 9 Surely (as for) those who persecute the believing men and the believing women, then do not repent, they shall have the chastisement of hell, and they shall have the chastisement of burning. 10 Surely (as for) those who believe and do good, they shall have gardens beneath which rivers flow, that is the great achievement. 11 Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe. 12 Lo! He it is Who produceth, then reproduceth, 13 And He is the Fogiving, the Loving, 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 the Executor of what He wills. 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 But Allah doth encompass them from behind! 20 Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, 21 in a guarded tablet. 22
