3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah had verily called to Us. And how gracious was He who answered (him). 75 And We delivered him and his followers from the mighty distress. 76 And made his seed the survivors, 77 We perpetuated his praise in later generations. 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all beings!' 79 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 80 Surely he was among Our faithful creatures. 81 Then We did drown the others. 82 ۞ And indeed, among his kind was Abraham, 83 when he came unto his Lord with a pure heart, 84 [And] when he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship? 85 It is falsehood that you desire gods other than Allah! 86 Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 Then he looked carefully at the stars 88 Then he said: Surely I am sick (of your worshipping these). 89 And they turned their backs on him and went away. (The pagans thought he would transmit the disease). 90 Then he went quietly to the (temple of the deities) and said: “What is the matter with you, why do you not eat? 91 What aileth ye that ye speak not? 92 He then began striking them with his right hand, unseen by the people. 93 Thereupon the people came running to him. 94 but he said, "How can you worship things you carve with your own hands, 95 And Allah has created you and what you make. 96 They said, 'Build him a building, and cast him into the furnace!' 97 So they contrived a plot against him, but We made them abject. 98 He said, "I will go to my Lord: He is sure to guide me. 99 My Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous." 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy, possessing forbearance. 101 and when he had reached the age of running with him, he said, 'My son, I see in a dream that I shall sacrifice thee; consider, what thinkest thou?' He said, 'My father, do as thou art bidden; thou shalt find me, God willing, one of the steadfast.' 102 When they submitted to the will of God, and (Abraham) laid (his son) down prostrate on his temple, 103 We called out to him "O Abraham! 104 "Thou hast already fulfilled the vision!" - thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 105 That was indeed a trying test. 106 Then We ransomed him with a tremendous victim. 107 And We left for him among the posterity: 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 110 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 111 We gave Abraham the good news of Isaac, a prophet and a righteous man, 112 and We blessed him and Isaac: but among the offspring of these two there were [destined] to be both doers of good and such as would glaringly sin against themselves. 113
