۞ I swear by the fallings of the stars 75 And lo! that verily is a tremendous oath, if ye but knew - 76 That this is indeed the glorious Qur'an 77 in a Book protected (from tampering) 78 Only they can reach it who are clean (of mind). 79 a sending down from the Lord of all the Worlds. 80 Would you, now, look down with disdain on a tiding like this, 81 and your portion in it is simply that you denounce it as false? 82 Why, then, when (the soul) cometh up to the throat (of the dying) 83 and you are [at that moment] looking on [helplessly] -- 84 And We are nearer to him than you are, but you cannot see. 85 why, then, if you are not subject to Our command, 86 Can you not bring him back? (Answer) if you are truthful 87 Then, if he (the dying person) be of the Muqarrabun (those brought near to Allah), 88 (There is for him) rest and provision, and a Garden of delights (Paradise). 89 and if he is of those who are on the Right, 90 Then (the greeting) "Peace be unto thee" from those on the right hand. 91 But if one happens to be of those who are wont to call the truth a lie, and [thus] go astray, 92 then he will be served boiling water, 93 And burning in Hell-fire. 94 This is the absolute Truth and certainty. 95 So exalt the Name of your Lord, the Great. 96
