۞ And We sent the divine revelation to Moosa that, “Journey along with My bondmen within the night, for you will be pursued.” 52 Then Pharaoh sent heralds to (all) the Cities, 53 [bidding them to call out his troops and to proclaim:] "Behold, these [children of Israel] are but a contemptible band; 54 And lo! they are offenders against us. 55 But we are a fully accounted army." 56 As such We expelled them from their gardens and their fountains, 57 and [deprived them of their erstwhile] station of honour!" 58 Thus it was: but [in the course of time] We were to bestow all these [things] as a heritage on the children of Israel. 59 Then they followed them at the sunrise; 60 And when the two parties saw each other, the companions of Musa said: verily we are overtaken. 61 He replied: Nay indeed! My Sustainer is with me, [and] He will guide me!" 62 Then We inspired to Moses, "Strike with your staff the sea," and it parted, and each portion was like a great towering mountain. 63 Then We brought the others to that place. 64 And We delivered Musa and those with him together. 65 Then We drowned the others. 66 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 67 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 68
