Man We fashioned from fermented clay dried tingling hard, 26 And the jinn We created before from scorching fire. 27 And when thy Lord said to the angels, 'See, I am creating a mortal of a clay of mud moulded. 28 Then when I have formed him and breathed into him of My Spirit fall down unto him prostrate. 29 The angels bowed in homage in a body 30 But Satan did not; he refused to join those who prostrated themselves. 31 (Allah) said: "O Iblis! what is your reason for not being among those who prostrated themselves?" 32 Iblis replied, "I did not want to prostrate before a human being whom You have created out of mud-moulded clay". 33 [Allah] said, "Then get out of it, for indeed, you are expelled. 34 “And indeed you are accursed till the Day of Judgement.” 35 He said: 'My Lord, reprieve me till the Day they are raised' 36 (Allah) said: "Respite is granted thee 37 until the day of a known time." 38 He said: My Lord! because Thou hast made life evil to me, I will certainly make (evil) fair-seeming to them on earth, and I will certainly cause them all to deviate 39 “Except those among them who are Your chosen bondmen.” 40 Allah said: "Here is the path that leads straight to Me. 41 Surely, you shall have no power over My true servants, except those misguided ones who choose to follow you. 42 And indeed hell is the promise for all of them. 43 It has seven gates, and through each gate a portion of them belong. 44
