Q (Qaaf)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Qaf. CONSIDER this sublime Qur'an! 1 Aye! they marvel that there hath come unto them a warner from among themselves; so the infidels Say: this is a thing wondrous! 2 "When we are dead and have become dust (shall we be resurrected?) That is a far return." 3 Surely We know that which the earth consumeth of them, and with Us is a Book preserved. 4 Rather, they belied the truth when it came to them, and now they are in a state of confusion. 5 Have they not looked at the heaven above them - how We structured it and adorned it and [how] it has no rifts? 6 And the earth - We have spread it wide, and set upon it mountains firm, and caused it to bring forth plants of all beauteous kinds, 7 for an insight and a reminder to every penitent servant. 8 And We have sent down blessed rain from the sky and made grow thereby gardens and grain from the harvest 9 And the tall palm-trees having spadices closely set one above another, 10 Provision (made) for men; and therewith We quicken a dead land. Even so will be the resurrection of the dead. 11 Denied before them (i.e. these pagans of Makkah who denied you, O Muhammad SAW) the people of Nuh (Noah), and the dwellers of Rass, and the Thamud, 12 And the tribe of 'Ad, and Pharaoh, and the brethren of Lot, 13 And the dwellers in the wood, and the people of Tubba; each one belied the apostles, wherefore fulfilled was My judgement. 14 Could We, then, be [thought of as being] worn out by the first creation? Nay - but some people are [still] lost in doubt about [the possibility of] a new creation! 15
