۞ God says, "Do not take two gods. He is only One God. So fear Me alone." 51 To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and on earth, and to Him is duty due always: then will ye fear other than Allah? 52 Whatever favor you have is from Allah. Whenever you are afflicted you groan to Him. 53 Yet, when He removes the distress from you, behold! some of you turn to other gods to join with their Lord- 54 In order to deny the favours We have given them; so enjoy a little; for you will soon come to know. 55 They set apart for those, whose reality they do not even know, a portion of the sustenance We have provided them. By Allah, you will surely be called to account for the lies that you have invented! 56 And they ascribe daughters to Allah, glory be to Him; and for themselves (they would have) what they desire. 57 for, whenever any of them is given the glad tiding of [the birth of] a girl, his face darkens, and he is filled with suppressed anger, 58 He hideth himself from the folk because of the evil of that whereof he hath had tidings, (asking himself): Shall he keep it in contempt, or bury it beneath the dust. Verily evil is their judgment. 59 Those who do not believe in the life to come are evil examples. To God belongs all the exalted attributes; He is the Majestic and the All-wise. 60
