The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ (Muhammad), glorify the Name of your lord, the Most High, 1 who created and shaped, 2 who determined and guided, 3 who brings forth green pasture, 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 We shall make thee recite, to forget not 6 Unless God may please. He knows the visible and knows what is hidden. 7 And We shall create the means of ease for you. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 He will heed who feareth, 10 but it will be ignored by the most unfortunate, 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 wherein he will neither die nor remain alive. 13 Prosperous is he who has cleansed himself, 14 and mentions the Name of his Lord, and prays. 15 But you prefer the present life, 16 While the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
