S (Saad)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Sad. CONSIDER this Qur'an, endowed with all that one ought to remember! 1 But the Unbelievers (are steeped) in self-glory and Separatism. 2 How many generations We have destroyed before them! And they cried out when it was too late to escape. 3 They were surprised that one of them had come to them as warner; and the unbelievers said: "He is a deceiving sorcerer. 4 What, has he made the gods One God? This is indeed a wondrous thing' 5 And the elders among them went forth saying: “Go ahead and be steadfast in adhering to your deities. What is being said is with a design.” 6 We have not heard this in the religious community close to our time. This is nothing but a fabrication. 7 "Has the Reminder been sent down to him (alone) from among us?" Nay! but they are in doubt about My Reminder (this Quran)! Nay, but they have not tasted (My) Torment! 8 Or is it that they have the treasures of the mercy of your Lord, the Mighty, the great Giver? 9 Do they own the heavens and the earth and all that is between them? Let them try on their own to block (the ways of heavens so that Our revelations cannot come to you). 10 A host of deserters of the allies shall be here put to flight. 11 Before them the people of Noah denied the truth, as did the 'Ad and Pharaoh of the Stakes, 12 And the Thamud, and the people of Lut, and the dwellers of the wood; these were the confederates. 13 Not one (of them) but rejected the messengers, but My punishment came justly and inevitably (on them). 14
