The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, 1 Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion; 2 who determined and guided, 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 [O Prophet!] We shall make you recite the Quran so that you will not forget any of it -- 6 Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden; 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 Admonished is he indeed who feareth, 10 Only the wretch will turn aside, 11 He who shall roast into the Great Fire, 12 Then therein he shall neither live nor die. 13 Indeed successful is the one who became pure. 14 remembering his Lord's name and praying. 15 Nay, but you prefer the present life; 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
