Blessed is He Who made the constellations in the heavens and made therein a lamp and a shining moon. 61 And it is He Who hath appointed the night and the day a succession, for him who desireth to consider or desireth to be grateful. 62 The worshipers of the Merciful are those who walk humbly on the earth, and when the ignorant address them say: 'Peace' 63 who pass the night prostrate to their Lord and standing; 64 who pray, "Lord, protect us from the torment of hell; it is a great loss. 65 Indeed, it is evil as a settlement and residence." 66 And those who when they expend, are neither extravagant nor sparing, and it is a medium in-between. 67 who call not upon another god with God, nor slay the soul God has forbidden except by right, neither fornicate, for whosoever does that shall meet the price 68 and on the Day of Judgment their torment will be double. They will suffer forever in disgrace. 69 Unless he repents, believes, and works righteous deeds, for Allah will change the evil of such persons into good, and Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful, 70 He who repents and does good works truly turns to Allah in repentance, 71 those who do not testify falsely and when they come across something impious, pass it by nobly, 72 who do not behave like the blind and the deaf, when the Revelations of their Lord are recited to them for admonition; 73 And those who say, "Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us an example for the righteous." 74 [Such as] these will be rewarded for all their patient endurance [in life] with a high station [in paradise,] and will be met therein with a greeting of welcome and peace, 75 and wherein they will live for ever: what an excellent abode and what an excellent resting place! 76 SAY [unto those who believe]: "No weight or value would my Sustainer attach to you were it not for your faith [in Him]!" And say unto those who deny [the truth:] "You have indeed given the lie [to God's message,] and in time this [sin] will cleave unto you!" 77
